A greenhouse disaster!

Over the past two weeks Planet Drapers’ have been investigating fair trade products with the hope that we may be able to introduce fair trade products into the school. We have been finding out why fair trade is so important and why it would be good for the school to purchase these products. We hope to be able to pitch our ideas to the management team soon. We have also been growing our vegetables at home, which we will be bringing into school shortly to put in the greenhouse. Our first greenhouse was a bit of a disaster though as it got blown around the quad and destroyed by the wind before we put anything in it! We hope to have a new one soon.

Welcome to Planet Drapers' Blog!

Welcome to the Planet Drapers’ blog page!

Planet Drapers’ is the school’s very own Environment Club and consists of seven year 8 pupils who meet each week to try to come up with new ideas for making the school a greener and more environmentally friendly place.

Members of Planet Drapers’ are currently working on a number of projects, including the Sky Rainforest Rescue Schools Challenge, a recycling scheme within the school, and the promotion of our charity of the year, Fair Trade. Other exciting projects are also on the horizon, including the introduction of a green house into the school, and a Recycling Fashion Show.

Follow the Planet Drapers’ blog each week to find out what the pupils have been up to and how they have been getting on with the challenges they’ve been set.
